Philanthropy was started one month prior to Ramadan 2015. We kicked it off so the youth can give back to the community and have a good start to Ramadan. After four events, the youth wanted to do more and we decided to keep it going.
Our mission is to inspire the youth to have a positive impact in their non-muslim communities through actions, leadership, and participation in volunteering. Our goal is to spread the goodness of Islam, to impact and change negative thoughts of the broader community, that we promote peace and care about our neighborhoods.
The outcome for youth who volunteer is to gain job experience, envision the real community needs, establish connections, networking and references, spread positive energy, and work toward making the world a better place. Our volunteers establish personal growth, learn team building skills, and meet new people.
